Summary: Kyoka asks Lachesis for help on her latest experiment.
Lachesis knew that smile Kyoka had once she walked in through the door. She definitely wanted something. Just what, she wasn’t entirely sure about yet. But it looked like she didn’t have to wait long to find out given how excited Kyoka looked.
“Hey Lache-chan? Can I ask ya something?” Kyoka swayed from side to side slightly, and it was obvious she could barely contain her excitement.
“What’s on your mind Kyoka-san?” She looked over to her, putting down the vegetables she was cleaning up for tonight’s dinner.
“Well, there’s this experiment I wanna try out, but I need another person to help me… You wanna give it a go?”
Lachesis had a passing thought to have a little fun with this. So why not? “Hmm. I’m not entirely sure I want to.”
Kyoka bounced over, her hands clasped together. “Please, please, please Lache-chan! Spanner is out of the house, and I don’t know who else to ask about this.”
“What about Ichinose and the others? Surely they would be happy to help.”
“They’re too busy charting out the new earth right now.” She began to look at Lachesis with eyes akin to a sad puppy. “Right now, you’re the only one I can ask!”
“Hmm…” She couldn’t help the quirk that formed at the edge of her lips.
“Come on! Please! I’ll make it worth your while. Promise.”
Now that made Lachesis raise an eyebrow. “How so?”
Kyoka hummed as she leaned over to Lachesis, placing a kiss on her cheek. “That, for starters.”
Lachesis smiled. “I can say I’m intrigued now.”
It was absolutely adorable the way Kyoka’s eyes instantly lit up. “So you’ll do it?” The way Kyoka was so invested in her work was always charming.
“I will.”
And she enjoyed the second kiss that followed.
